Creative Storyteller | Cinematographer | Educator | Documentary Filmmaker
Published PhotoJournalist | Co-Founder at Studio BYW
I’m a passionate and versatile creative working across the full spectrum of media, but my heart lies behind the camera.
With over a decade of experience in the film industry, I specialise as a cinematographer, bringing visual stories to life through compelling imagery. Alongside my professional practice, I also teach film at the university level, helping to shape and inspire the next generation of storytellers.
My journey in visual media has led me to establish my own production company (Studio BYW), where I lead projects from concept to screen. I’ve directed and shot several feature-length documentaries, diving deep into real-world narratives that matter.
As a published photographer, I continue to explore the power of still imagery, capturing moments that resonate with emotion and meaning, with a keen eye for still imagery, often blending documentary and fine art styles to create powerful photographic work.
Whether working on set, mentoring students, or developing original content, my goal is always the same: to tell impactful stories that connect with audiences.
Let’s connect—whether you’re looking to collaborate on a project, bring a story to life, or simply share creative ideas, Give me a shout!

As a professional in the industry, i have spent the better half of my life working within a creative field for money. The “grind” mindset is somewhat of an arduous way to live your life in my opinion.
as previously stated i work teaching in a film school nowadays and make a living helping the younger generation of filmmakers gain the skills they need to become creative professionals themselves .
Knowing this the idea of payment often i believe gets in the way of true creative freedom and genuine collaboration.
I love filmmaking so much, and it’s an itch and burn that cannot be quenched. This is why my business model and mindset for going forward is i’ll make films for free just “for the love of the game”.
if you’re more interested in this business model, you can see further details with the T&Cs… yeah i wrote a T&CS
